CCTV footage shows the attacker shooting a person from a hand  distance   after running some distance behind him. The man collapses to the ground, whereupon the attacker begins to flee, but comes back and shoots him a second time to make sure his victim is dead. He then took out his cell phone and clicked on a photo of his deceased victim.

The attacker then flees the scene, shows the video. The incident took place on October 22. Based on an eyewitness statement, possibly the one seen in the video, the police filed an FIR against the accused. Police are also investigating the case and deploying secret informants to locate the attacker.

According to unconfirmed information, the victim has been identified as Vikas Mehta, 35, from Mohan Garden.

A joint team of special personnel from Dwarka district and the Mohan Garden police station reportedly arrested a Pawan Gahlot for the murder of Vikas Mehta.

Daylight crime has increased recently and has regularly received criticism from the public about the endemic problems of lawlessness and crime.

Recently, a 20-year-old woman outside her university was shot and killed by two men during an attempted kidnapping in Ballabgarh by Haryana. CCTV footage of the incident shows one of the defendants, face covered, trying to push her into a car, but he is seen resisting. The attacker then shot the woman with a gun, left her on the ground, and fled in the car.
